Loren is a visual artist and educator. She has taught fine arts for five years in New York City public high schools.
As of September 2010, Loren has taken on a new role as a Program Leader for a gap year program called Thinking Beyond Borders (TBB).
This position culminates her passion for art, education, travel and service-learning. TBB travels the globe as a nomadic family of 3 teachers and 15 students, visiting 8 countries in 8 months while examining relevant issues in each country like environment, education, agriculture and public health.
The program teaches young adults how to become agents of change in a world that necessitates critical thinking. Loren is constantly using her surroundings for inspiration both in her personal artwork and professional life as a teacher.
